The US Consulate General in Almaty is conducting a web-based electronic auction to sell used furniture, appliances, and miscellaneous items. Each auction will be active for a specified period, with the start and end dates clearly stated on the information panel of the web application https://online-auction.state.gov/. Typically, the auction will run for two weeks, from Monday to Friday. During this period, you can participate and submit your bids for the available lots.
Participants will have the opportunity to personally inspect the lots on the first Wednesday of the auction from 13:00 to 15:00 at the following address: 133A Angarskaya Str, Almaty, Kazakhstan.
The maximum number of bids allowed on each item is specified for each item. Bids can only be placed in US Dollars (USD). During the auction, you should monitor your bids to stay updated on changes and place new bids as necessary. Successful bidders will be notified via email after the auction concludes. Prior registration is required to participate.
Items are sold "as is" with no warranties, no returns, no exchanges, no refunds. The U.S. Consulate General reserves the right to reject any bid or cancel the auction. Buyer is solely responsible for any applicable taxes and duties.
If a winning bidder fails to pay for and pick up the items they bid on by 3 days after the auction, the next highest bidder will be contacted. Winners who do not fulfill their payment obligations will be disqualified from participating in future auctions conducted by the US Consulate General.

Payment must be made within 3 working days after the auction closes. Payment for your items must be made in cash (USD or KZT exchange rate will be established by the US Consulate Cashier at the day of payment) at the cashier's office located at 41/26 Kazybek Bi St, Almaty – First Floor. Note: payment via check is acceptable for Americans.
1. Each payment must reference the lot numbers you're paying for and your Unique Identification Number (UID), which can be found at "Winner's info" auction website section
In the case you have bid and won more than one lot you can pay the total amount due of all items in one payment, but all lot items must be identified as described in item 1 above. Items can be retrieved only when successful payment has been received by the Consulate General of the United States in Almaty.

To retrieve your items, visit the Consulate General warehouse located at 133A Angarskaya Str, Almaty, Kazakhstan. You must schedule a pick-up appointment with the Auction Manager and complete the pick-up within 5 working days after the auction closes. Present the original General Receipt for the paid lot(s) received from the U.S. Consulate General Cashier.
Any paid items not picked up within the scheduled time frame will be disposed of, with no possibility of retrieval. In special cases or circumstances, you may arrange a different pick-up date and time by contacting the Auction Manager.
After payment confirmation, our staff will move your items to the front of the storage building. From that point, you are the owner of the merchandise and responsible for its handling and removal from Consulate General property in a timely manner. Items not removed promptly may be considered abandoned and disposed of.
